This is mostly just for me wanting to see whether or not my character is still online while I'm at work or otherwise unable to check if I'm alive. I'm sure other people would appreciate being able to check whether or not they're still online.
Server Status page for seeing whether or not your prefered server is online in the case that an admin isn't able to immediately restart a server.
I know sometimes people have to try logging in multiple times because the server lags a little bit while trying to connectand says the server cannot be reached.. it could help determine whether their failed log-in attempts are a personal issue, or something bigger.
